2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Serverprofis GmbH, Otto-Lilienthal-Ring 34–36, 85622 Feldkirchen, Germany. The servers are located in a data center in Munich, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.

Each time a page is requested, the server automatically processes the following data in server log files:

IP address of the requesting device
date and time of the request
requested page or file and the amount of data transferred
HTTP status code
referrer URL (the previously visited page), if your browser sends it
browser type and version and operating system (user agent)

This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website to you and serves the stability and security of its operation (e.g. defending against attacks, analysing errors). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free operation of the website. Log files are not combined with other data sources and are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for these purposes.

3. Visitor statistics with TelemetryDeck

To understand which pages are visited and to improve the website, we use the analytics service TelemetryDeck by TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with TelemetryDeck.

When you open a page, your browser loads a small script from cdn.telemetrydeck.com and sends a single signal to TelemetryDeck. It contains the address of the page (URL), the previously visited page (referrer) and your browser's language setting. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted in the process.

TelemetryDeck sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. No profiles are created and you are not tracked across other websites. We only see aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g. page views per day) and cannot identify individual people. According to TelemetryDeck, the data is processed in Germany and the EU.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a privacy-friendly analysis of how our website is used. You can object to this processing at any time (see section 8), e.g. by email or by blocking the domain telemetrydeck.com with a content blocker. More information: TelemetryDeck privacy policy.

4. Legal texts of the app (iubenda)

The privacy policy and the terms and conditions of the app (pages /data_privacy/ and /terms_and_conditions/) are provided by iubenda S.r.l., Via San Raffaele 1, 20121 Milan, Italy. Only when you open one of these two pages does your browser load content from iubenda servers; for technical reasons your IP address is transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is providing these legal texts in their current version. According to iubenda, it only collects the data strictly necessary to provide the content.

5. Contact by email

If you send us an email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to the use of the app or a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering requests). We delete the data once your request has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Self-hosted content and external links

Fonts, images and the promo video are loaded from our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties. The video is only loaded when you click play. The metronome demo on the home page generates its click sound entirely in your browser.

Links to the App Store, Google Play, YouTube, social networks (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X) and other websites are plain links. No content from these providers is embedded and no data is transmitted to them unless you click the link. After clicking, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

7. Cookies and encryption

This website sets no cookies and does not use your browser's local storage (local storage or similar). A consent banner is therefore not required. All connections are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).

8. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.

9. Further information

Providing personal data is neither required by law nor by contract; however, the website cannot be delivered without the technically necessary data (section 2). There is no automated decision-making, including profiling. We do not transfer data to third countries outside the EU or EEA.
